AMMAN — The British embassy in Amman on Tuesday announced the arrival of a fully equipped field hospital to the Gaza Strip. The facility has been provided to the British charity, UK-Med, through funding from the UK.
In a statement, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the embassy said that the hospital is designed to treat over 100 patients daily and is scheduled to commence operations this week.
The hospital includes a pharmacy, an area for diagnosing cases, a unit for treating major injuries and resuscitation, and a tent designed for the care of expectant mothers.
